Xiaomi Outdoor Camera BW500: New outdoor camera with artificial intelligence in the equipment
Global version of Xiaomi outdoor camera BW500 with model number MJSXJ06BY features a truly minimalist, cubic body. The basic outdoor unit measures 96 × 60 × 58 millimetres, the front with sensors is black, and has an operating temperature range of -20 to 55 °C. The construction itself offers increased resistance with IP 67 certification.
The camera captures 2560 × 1440 pixels (3.5 MPx, 2K resolution) video, encoding the footage with the economical H.265 codec. Its content can be stored on the 8 GB internal eMMC memory, while the manufacturer's (paid) cloud can be used to store content. The manufacturer does not support microSD memory card insertion.
This camera has an angle of view of up to 136°, which is sufficient for monitoring large areas such as a yard in front of the front door. The camera cannot be rotated, but thanks to the wide viewing angle, there is no need to buy additional units to cover the space.

AI chip and infrared LEDs with night mode
Images can be captured even in low light and total darkness thanks to the f/1.6 aperture. Supports colour images even in low light. When night mode is automatically activated, it then activates the bright infrared LEDs. They have a range of up to 10 metres. The AI functions provided by a powerful AI chip supporting 1.2 trillion operations per second are extremely capable. This allows the camera to accurately identify people, animals, vehicles and packages, while also filtering out false alarms caused by small spatial movements.
This chip is the basis of intelligent protection and is complemented by an audiovisual alarm that is only activated in the event of filtered and relevant events.

Mi Home app and battery life of up to 180 days
